Gwynneth Wegner, 78, passed away Monday, February 4, 2013 in Jacksonville, FL. Funeral Services will be 10:00am Friday February 8, 2013at Trinity Church, West Point, with Reverend Phil Fischer officiating. Graveside services will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to services, 8-10:00am at Trinity Church. Stokely Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Gwynneth Mary Wegner was born to John and Violet (Carter) Jenkins on July 28, 1934 in Abertillery, Wales, and Gwen married Virgil William Wegner, United States Air Force, on April 7, 1956 in Birmingham, England. Gwen was a dedicated mother raising her eight children and a devoted Certified Nursing Assistant at many nursing home facilities. Gwen’s passion was taking care of others, and she also loved her cats and watching old movies. Her family will always treasure their memories of her laughter, spirit, and kindness. Gwen brought joy and love to them all and will be greatly missed. Gwen is survived by four daughters and three sons, John (Sherri) Wegner, Marilyn (Warren) Freidamann, Joanne (Dan) Meyer, Virgil Wegner, Keith Wegner, Gina (Chris) Bisceglio, and DeVonna (Ty) Armstrong; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Gwen is preceded in death by her husband Virgil Wegner, son Paul Wegner, two sisters, and two brothers.
