Larry Sila, 70, of Omaha, died February 2, 2013, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. Funeral Services will be 11:00 am. Wednesday at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Papillion with Reverend Karl P. Ziegler officiating. Graveside services will be 3:00 pm. Wednesday at Mount Hope Cemetery in West Point. Visitation with family present will be 6:00 pm. until 8:00 pm. Tuesday at First Evangelical Church in Papillion. Stokely Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Larry Sila was born to Henry and Esther (Otto) Sila on July 10, 1942 at St Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point, NE. He was baptized at Grace Lutheran Church in West Point and was confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Beemer, NE. He attended Beemer High School and graduated in 1961. Larry married Betty Heitmann on July 30, 1966 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Omaha, NE. Larry worked for Schultz Auto & Tractor Repair in Beemer for 3 years. Then in 1965 he moved to Omaha and worked at Indian Hills Texaco, after that he worked for United States Cold Storage from 1966-2005. He retired in 2005 and is a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles for 30 years. Survivors:Wife Betty Sila of Omaha, NE Daughter:Theresa and husband Tyler Maness of Papillion, NE. Grandchildren:Josh and Jace Maness Son:Jeff Sila Omaha, NE Dog:Angel 2 Sisters: Lola Freeman, Battle Creek, MI. and Lois and husband Truman Morkert of Octavia, NESeveral nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by:Parents Henry and Esther Sila
