Rose Ann Christensen, 91, of Pender, died Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Legacy Gardens in Pender, NE. Services will be 1:00 pm. Saturday, January 26, 2013 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Pender with Reverend Miles Rouch officiating. Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery, Pender. Visitation will begin 11:00 am. until service time Saturday at the church. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care Center of Sioux City, IA. Stokely Funeral Home of West Point in charge of arrangements. Rose Ann was born January 31, 1921 in Pender to Paul and Hilda (Sievers) Christensen. She grew up on the family farm east of Pender and attended District 37 grade school. Rose Ann lived with her parents until moving into Pender Care Center in 1985. Rose Ann enjoyed gardening and embroidery. She is survived by sisters Alverna Harstick of West Point and Pauline Hoffman of Kansas City, MO; brother Donald Christensen of Green Bay, WI; sister-in-law LaVertha Radtke of Pender; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother George and an infant brother.
